The UWF Military & Veterans Resource Center (MVRC) serves as a leading campus advocate for military, dependents and veteran students, working to ensure the needs of these individuals are met through coordinating with multiple university offices and services. The center provides assistance with the following:

--VA education benefits
--Active duty tuition assistance
--Out of state fee waiver
--Coordinating academic advising
-- Disability accommodations
--Referral to state and federal resources and services

The VetSuccess on Campus program is a collaborative effort between the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and University of West Florida (UWF). The goal of the program is to help military Veterans and eligible dependents of military Veterans make a smooth transition to college life and to successfully complete their educational goals. The VA has placed a full-time, experienced Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor on campus at UWF. This counselor serves as a one-stop liaison for Veterans, active duty military and eligible dependents who attend or plan to attend UWF.

The VetSuccess on Campus Counselor (VSOC), Rebecca Baisden, is located in Building 38, Room 147. She is available daily Mon-Fri from 7:00 am to 4:30 pm to help with any questions one might have regarding VA benefits, including: GI Bill®, Vocational Rehabilitation, eBenefits, Disability Compensation, VA Medical Care, Home Loan, Life Insurance, Short-term Counseling, Career Counseling and Resume Development.
